Mentor-Protégé Programs – Beneficial for all parties involved
Guidance and support. Simply put, these two words can mean much and provide much. At some point in our lives or careers, we’ve all been there, receiving tutelage, training, or protection provided by a more experienced person. The benefits of such an experience can be profound and pay dividends down the road. Just as beneficial, and similar to this approach, the Department of Defense(DoD) has a program called the Mentor-Protégé program. According to the DoD, the objective of this program is: “The Mentor-Protégé program is designed to motivate and encourage large business prime contractor firms to provide mutually beneficial developmental assistance to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns.”
Navigating DoD processes and procedures as competing for business can be difficult enough for a large established business, let alone a small business. For many years ONEIL has participated in and supported community efforts and needs. We are the proud founder and funder of the ONEIL Center for Research Communication at Wright State University. Expanding on these efforts, we are also a proud mentor participating in the DoD Mentor-Protégé program. ONEIL’s protégé is the talented EIDOS Technologies, LLC (EIDOS) conveniently and strategically located a mere 31 miles away from Washington D.C.
EIDOS Technologies has expertise in these areas:
- Enterprise Data Solutions
- Software/System Design
- Technical & Helpdesk Support
- Project Management Support
- Staffing Solutions
At the forefront of EIDOS Technologies’ company culture are two disciplines — Quality Management Systems and Technology Services, both of which EIDOS is ISO Certified in. We are proud to call EIDOS a partner in the Mentor-Protégé program, and can confidently state the partnership is not only beneficial to both of our companies, it is beneficial to you as well.
