A Powerful Commitment to Quality

O'Neil & Associates sets a high standard for quality in documentation creation and management systems. More than just a standard, it is a central tenet of the entire O'Neil organization. In fact, quality is at the heart of our company's value statement:

We develop quality product support information and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction, reliable delivery, optimized technology, and maximized value.

O'Neil is an ISO certified company, and has been since 1999. We were upgraded to the new 9001:2008 Standard in November 2009. Our certificate number is 3116. We have a formal documented Quality Management System (QMS), and it is designed to ensure continuous quality improvement. All our work flow is governed by written process directives, and specific quality responsibilities and controls are defined. Our QMS is available to employees electronically through our corporate intranet. We have an ISO Management Representative on staff who keeps our management team informed of the status of our quality and performance metrics.

Being ISO certified is a benefit to our company as well as to our customers. ISO involves all phases of work in a company, from writing a proposal to shipment of the final product. The two main issues that ISO certified companies must adhere to are customer satisfaction and continual improvement. If a company is lax in these, their certification could be jeopardized. All work processes must be strictly adhered to, and all are documented by a work procedure or work instruction. This ensures that all employees perform their duties in a similar and consistent way. We have at least one internal audit per year and at least one external (third party) audit per year. These are to monitor our progress and make sure we are doing what we have said we will do.

We also work in conjunction with many of our customers' quality programs. Several use Six Sigma. We have a certified Six Sigma Black Belt on staff to oversee quality measures in support of their requirements.
